About Us
My husband and I live on a farm in southern Iowa. We both are retired but still have the reindeer along with new this year a 1/5 mile dirt go-kart track. Check us out at Badger Creek Supper Speedway. We are proud grandparents of 7 and 2 bonus boys . Over the years me and the kids enjoyed getting unusal and unique animals. (My husband thought only cattle belong on a farm). During this time I was able to trade 3 munchkin cats for a reindeer and from there the love of reindeer began.
In 2001 we started doing respite care. We have been blessed to be able to share our farm with many different children. The kids enjoy activities that mostly include the farm. The children and adults can be seen gathering eggs, feeding the animals (including reindeer, chickens, peacocks and still have our munchkin cats), arrow head hunting, hot dog roast, and much much more.
Currently we are a host home to two amazing guys. If you want a fun and fulfilling job you too should look into becoming a host home. One of the best things we have ever done.
